Ok so im a little confused. If i bought a tshirt pattern from mcalls etc it is copyrighted & therefore i cannot use that pattern to manufacture to sell. But what exactly is copyrighted since tshirt patterns already exists & can been drawn to look exactly like the mcalls pattern. So whats the difference if i drew the pattern myself that looks identical to the copyright pattern?

Plucking/combing vs clipping/ shearing depends on the breed of angora rabbit. I have English/ French mix angoras that I comb, but clip in the warmer months. Giant and German angoras don't shed their wool, they HAVE to be clipped.

Its called lineal focus. And if you want to learn to spin Merino with elasticity instead of a dead lace yarn, be sure to watch Margaret Stove's "Spinning Merino for Lace Yarn (& elasticity).

Spinning is a lovely way to spend some time, and as a bonus, you get a product at the end. Also theres nothing more soothing than the sound of a spinning wheel. My wheels are both old, NZ made, one an antique(over 100) and the other is at least as old as me (60). Both of them have been owned by many people, and many hands have used them and i love that im just another step on their journey. I have them both on double drive because i like getting the tension set and then not having to faff around with it too much, plus im working on my finer spinning, and double drive is great for fine spinning.

Very cool! I just heard of a Niddy Noddy about 5 minutes ago. I’m not a spinner although 35 years ago I was going to try it but then life happened as it so often does. I am a knitter and crocheter. I was reading a thread about whether to re-skein your leftover yarn. I had no clue how someone would “re-skein” yarn but I knew that it could be “re- hanked.” Someone in this forum suggested using a Niddy Noddy and that got me curious. And then I found you! You have explained the process so well! Thanks so much! 😊

Hi...I need some help! Just put my 16" loom together & I think I did something backwards. Are both supposed to be going in the same direction when turning them? Mine are going the opposite 😮. If that's wrong, how do I remove the cig to fix it?

Yes they do need to be moving in unison. I'm sorry I don't know how to tell you to fix it from here. Please reference your manual and if that doesn't help you can call the seller. Thanks for watching. ~Shiree

Unfortunately my favorite supplier of my Ashford collection will often tell me the item is not in stock and will need to be shipped from Ashford. I have purchased the same item I was looking for from other fiber suppliers and received my items within 10 days. I had to come to the conclusion that some suppliers keep inventory while some will only order your item once you have paid for what you wanted. It's heartbreaking to me that I often have to overlook my favorite suppler in order to get my items shipped in a reasonable time. I will however be placing an order with them after the 1st of the year and simply wait them to arrive.

There is another way to load the shuttle : alternate loading the ends like a cross sideways , so the yarn does not bulk up , that it passes trough easier . I can’t explain it good with words , but look it up , you can load more yards to pass trough , and the loaded yarn is flatter to pass trough ..
