Hardcore upwind channel sailing. Well balanced and making good speed. Well done and much respect. I love Camaret.

@1MrMrMr116 күн бұрын
Hi @Septix, it's surely coming in the next weeks/months. Just had it in the water since June, made a maiden round in the Baltic, and then moved to Spain. For this year, there's a trip planned all the way back to the Netherlands and then to Lofoten/Norway. So, stay tuned :)
@Septix15 күн бұрын
@@1MrMrMr1 lets go! If you're shorthanded and need a crew I'm willing to pay you to see how she handles. Have my eyes on two 35i's and if all goes well I'll be flying in March to snag one up. If you dont mind me asking, how does she handle sailing upwind? And do you feel the insulation/ injected molding is worth the hype? Will be my first injected/ insulated hull so hoping for no more mold.
@1MrMrMr114 күн бұрын
@@Septix It is definitely very quiet inside, and I haven’t seen any mold so far. However, humidity does slightly increase at night. But I do cook in the evening and maybe don’t ventilate. However, I do have water ingress in some areas (side windows, for example, and you should also check the large window). There is also no space under the front and rear berths. You should take that into consideration as well. She sails very nicely and stays very dry upwind (I rarely had water in the cockpit, and I sail without a sprayhood). I’ve just uploaded two videos. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpSkg5-nrsiUhqs kzbin.info/www/bejne/mYCpf36Pmd6dkMU However, there’s a bit more heeling than I expected. Maybe because of the shoal keel? Though it could also be due to the slightly older sails. :)
@Septix14 күн бұрын
@@1MrMrMr1 I heard similar worries about leaky windows which is making me wonder if I should sail her to the Netherlands to get them sorted there or stay in the UK or go down to Spain for larger refit. Heard Netherlands/ Germany is a great place to get parts for the etaps so fingers crossed.

Hello, is your Delanta 80 only 1,5 tons? Got info from one sailing coleague that his D80 is over 2,2 tons? I have Delanta 76AK and thinking of trailering it with my Volvo 70 (towing capacity 2t). Do you have the Faryman inboard Diesel?
@1MrMrMr1 Жыл бұрын
Hi, 1050 is official empty(!) weight. Some says it’s even without the motor weight. So it will be probably more than that. I think you also must add the weight of the trailer itself?

Strange,where you in a hurry !!??....so many miles,so little places visited,i am always surprised that sailors do so many hours sailing to get somewhere,and then...see nothing off the beautifull places they went too! Nothing bad about the sailing and movie,but i wonder why sailing to far places ?? If its only the pleasure off sailing you can do that near your home also? I did exactly the same trip you did,and i did it also on a hurry,thats was because i had limited time,maybe you are in the same position? Though i visited the places as many as i could,in the time i had. My film will be ready i think in a month or so,.

geen wind om te zeilen?
@1MrMrMr12 жыл бұрын

Hi Jānis, thank you. Glad, you like it. It is a 79’ “Delanta 80”. Made by Dehler in their very early years :) 8m LOA, 2,5m width, 1,25 draft. And empty it is only 1.5 tons, so it can be put on trailer.

@1MrMrMr12 жыл бұрын
Hoi Reinoud, bedankt!

"Hope, the video is not too long :) " As a matter of fact, I think the video was too short. Lots of good sailing shots, but - alas - just accompagnied by music. No comment in what we see. All the harbours - Entering harbour x - exiting harbour x. No - or just a few- shots of the place and absolutely no comments on what we see. I think it was a brilliant film and a great tour, but sharing the message was too weak. Thumbs up though 👍 🙂 Greetings from Mors - Denmark 🙂

Hello Bent, thank you very much, a very important comment! In fact, I didn't had much time for the cities themselves, mostly just a short walk through the "downtown", sleeping, sailing on :) And I didn't always think about turning on the camera. But something bigger is planned for this year - I'll try to improve myself (also with the comments) 🙂 Best regards to Mors!

Wirklich gut gemacht!

@Egonator783 жыл бұрын
@@1MrMrMr1 Awesome, I might do the same, can you give me some advice on which Gennaker to use/buy since you have already experience with it? Also, have noticed you are using deadman for mast stepping. I also think about that. Trying to do some improvements on the boat.
