People seem to forget in the original studio recording he used a clean voice to sing, not a raspy one. If anything Axl sounds more like the studio recording here

@@fpcawolff totally agree. If u were to listen to his voice from 2011 till now,u would probably notice that his voice basically got flatter and flatter as the years went by...

He is doing what he likes but if you substitute Page, Jones & Bonham in for this band, he sells out Rogers Center for 10 nights straight, instead of Massey Hall, just saying.

You are right... but I reckon the demands for a top tier performance would be really high. Touring like this he can have fun, go to local pubs, havin' a great time AND still the Zep royalties keep flowing.
