To me, this cements that Tim would be Chaotic Neutral in D&D alignment terms. He probably has the means to take out that killer rabbit at any time (and a Good character probably would), but he doesn't feel the need to. He's a recluse and acts on his whims (even if it's just torching and blowing up random things). He'll at least warn you of danger, but if you don't listen, it's not his problem, and thanks for the laughs!
