I wish this clip included the pep talk David Letterman gave the band asking them to give it their all before this performance, because they delivered. This is a true send off to Dave!

If I'm thinking of the same thing you are that was actually a different song that was on the actual Late Show where I think this was after the show and not televised.. Could be wrong though
@genrushrАй бұрын
@@jemcee97 Sorry for the late reply, ya you are right. Notice Letterman says "another time" with the band. They originally played Half the City I think which was televised. Which was a good performance but David wanted more, gave them a 'pep' talk, then they performed this which was much more raw and emotional. **If I'm remembering correctly.

Anyone have a link, to the first song he did this night? I’ve searched the web over with know luck. Dave’s introduction of St. Paul was extraordinary as will as his performance of Half City!!

Seeing them tonight live. They are simply one of best bands in the last decade. And Paul is pure vocal perfection. Gets me in the feels.

Paul still commits to his songs. Saw him a week ago at an outdoor event in Virginia. During his visitation to his flock (us) during Sanctify, he spotted a corner perch on the 2nd floor of an outdoor deck, went upstairs, then climbed up and stood on top of the deck rail to witness to us. It was not a safe way to sing to an audience. But he's all in, all the time.
