What type of domain management server do you recomend for small clinics to comply with per user system sign-on and password?

I once had a computer almost brick itself because norton antivirus was in an existential war with window's defender. The computer was formerly a school laptop I bought and came with norton by default. Every time you'd go back to factory settings it would come with an out-dated norton antivirus. Being out of date, window's defender would flag norton as malware and norton would flag windows defender as malware as each tried to quarantine one another. You'd never get past the start-up screen without running in safety mode, but that of course meant you couldn't connect to the internet, so neither could update... Ultimately I had to get into windows defender's core system32 files and start renaming them until norton was allowed to update. It wouldn't let me delete them, but I could rename them somehow, I forget exactly. It's the equivalent of cracking open a brain and just slashing everything until the patient's hands go limp so they will let go of a chainsaw. Fun times... Moral of the story? Second hand proprietary technology is sold cheap for a reason. You pay for it with your patience. Oh, and that anti-viruses can sometimes just go full Hatfield and McCoy.

@Racko5u, Yes, the paid version of Google is great. We were referencing the free version of Gmail, in the video, not the paid version. Google's free email can not be used in a HIPAA-compliant manner. Google's HIPAA Business Associate Agreement only covers their paid Google Workspace product. Just because something is "amazing" doesn't mean it can be used in a manner that meets privacy and security regulations and frameworks. We have used Google's business suite since before they actually charged for it. So, yeah, we're old.

What I want to know is how do the law officials get ahold of a womens records to know if she has lost a baby thru obortion or miscarriage to charge her with murder. When I go to get medicine at the drug store I have to sign a waver so they can inform my doctor isn’t that the hippa act. A women I believe in Texas miscarried then went to the hospital they intern informed the police and now she’s charged.

@@moltasrydell2396 your right there not charging her with murder they are charging her with something to do with the body of the miscarriage she she left in the toilet when she went to the hospital but the hospital still had to call the police. I saw this on the Tv it was a young black lady that they showed.

I also heard that at least one state has said that if a female leaves the state to get an abortion when she returns they will charge her with murder

The rules cover several things like transaction standards and the ability to get insurance when you change jobs without starting over. Our podcast covers the parts of the law that set requirements for data privacy and security of patient records for those entities that are required to follow HIPAA rules.

The issue isn't taking photos while out and about, the issue is taking photos from your hotel rooms or place of residence while on vacation. I know a friend who went on vacation and posted pictures and stories of when he got there, he got home to his house robbed. You post pictures of you at your house which can be traced, than you leaving it unsecured. Some robbers are smart and social media makes it a hella lot easier for connecting individuals and tracing their movements.
