No way at 40:18 secs did he quote the alpha prayer and remotely think that was okay. Where in the Bible does it say to let the “spirit of fraternity rule your hearts, guide your thoughts and CONTROL your minds??” The Holy Spirit doesn’t even control us, we have free will and changed through the power of the Holy Spirit. This pastor is clearly being controlled by whatever “spirit of fraternity” is and whoever is in his church need to run.

I think we’ve reached the point where we do need to have an apologetic discussion about membership in these organizations. I believe a panel discussion with a mix of layman, pastors, and theologian would be wise each making the case for why it’s appropriate or inappropriate based on scripture is needed. Mr. Vernon’s presentation has many flaws. It relies heavy on a philosophical and cultural position and lack a scriptural foundation for justifying membership in the organizations or leaving quietly.

That’s not the same, we know what the cross stood for and we know why we wear the cross really that can’t fix dr. Only the why you made it stay in “your” context. That’s not the same. So if a group white group uses a swastika but says it means something else for them that will be OK also, that’s what you’re saying?

Y’all remember when he said he had to talk on the phone with the vice president of Alpha frat everyday to get his story / information right? It shows because nothing you’re saying makes sense. Everyone in these orgs say the same thing to defend it and they play the telephone game not making any sense.

Brother Dr,R.A. Vernon's podcast was right on point. Why would you spend time and money joining a fraternity or sorority and then denounce that organization is crazy. You never did your homework anyway. Dr, Martin Luther King Jr is a proud Alpha man. That was my reason for becoming a member. I've been a member of Alpha Phi Alpha for 46 years and very proud of Brother Vernon for explaining this new wave of denouncing organizations. He broke it down so you can understand.

Y’all I’m leaving comments as I watch this video, my heart is broken because this man is leading so many people astray. I’m at the part where he justifying lady justice. Like seriously, for one when did citizens of a country have to denounce something they didn’t pledge to? With all them degrees you seriously said that. I love pastor Vernon, but i do not agree. Pastor Jerry Flowers sermon "Stomp the Yard" clearly states why denouncing is a choice made by individuals who want to be in alignment with Christ and the word of God. If it's idolatry, your eyes need to be opened by the Holy Spirit. If you disagree with the word of God, then i question your relationship with Christ seriously.
