A hot tip that I hope helps you is to google the top ten common interview questions and make sure to write down an example response for each. Think of your example and tell it as a story using the STAR format where possible. If you practice these stories then I guarantee your interview will run smoother then ever!

How someone posts online is serious business!! I remember when I used to hire based on skill, experience and personality. How silly I was.
@AussieJobSeeking Жыл бұрын
You weren’t being silly but a resume and an interview will only give you a limited view of someones personality, LinkedIn is another add on top of those. This is actually a good thing for candidates as you can really show off your personal brand, abilities and personality on one free platform. You may be surprised to hear that some managers who are hiring will even look up peoples Facebook and Instagram, personally I don’t go that far as I feel that’s invasive…

If the Industry you have researched has particular skills, tools and qualifications that you have experience in then ensure you have these listed on the first page of your resume and where possible include in the "Career Objective"/"Personal Summary" section of your first page.

If you are new to LinkedIn I highly recommend you build a free profile, spend some time to fill in your experience and qualifications, a photo and a profile summary. The profile summary is a great spot to summarise who you are and what you are looking for so recruiters, employers and like minded individuals can connect with you. Whilst I have 10000 connections you likely wont need this however if you can get 500-1000 in 12 months it will really go a long way for you.

In sweden you're almost forced to look for any job anywhere in the country and must be willing to move to get any financial aid while you're looking for a job. Quantity over quality. i get that any job is better than no job but im not moving to the other side of the country for one 😅
