Hello I used this telescope for planetary shoot And I use 40 mm for deep sky observation Only issue with Pleiades open cluster won’t fit in the filed of view

Hi. Nice video but mera thoda opinion alag hai. Mere pass ES 16 inch hai. Yes collimation is an issue but jitna time setup mein lagta hai us se jyada time toh mirror cooling karna hi padta hai. So it doesnt matter. Mujhe jyada se jyada 15 min lagte hain setup aur collimation karne mein. Agar itna bada scope le rahe ho toh dark sky is necessary to take full advantage. Dark sky jaana hai toh portability chahiye. So truss tube is better in my opinion

Santosh ji frankly bolu toh Celestron ka RA motor useless hai mere paas bhi aise ho pada hai jo kuch kaam ka nahi hai Agar apko serious astrophotography karne hai toh thoda paisa save kar k proper tacking mount le lo Skywatchers ka ya fir pmc 8

@ accurate tracking nahi hota hai aur RA motor compatible with EQ1 to EQ 3 and Cg3 mount jisme aapko polar scope nahi milta toh accuracy zero hai tracking ki So paise mat waste karo Agar apko Try karna hai toh try kar sakte ho

Gso tube ka weight 15kg ka aas paas hai Its huge telescope Agar Eq mount par lagana hai toh Additional Ring tube ke liye lagega aur counter weights balancing k liye Main 8icnh k tube ko recommend karunga agar EQ par lagana hoga toh with minimal requirements

Humble request for your advice. Looking to buy a celestron 12inch dobsonian but not sure if the higher price tag 1.3 Lakh (almost double of GSO @60k) is it justified by higher optical performance? Star sense app is great but i want higher optical performance from celestron at that pricepoint. Q)Does celestron provide higher optical performance than GSO. Q) please share ur recommendation for a 12inch dob. Your advice is highly appreciated. Thank you.

Hello vishal ji I have used Both the telescope & there is no major difference in observations only Celestron comes with starsense support Celestron is Rolls Royce in Telescope industry so It comes with Good build quality compared to other but now a GSO has captured the market providing good quality optics at lower cost So I will recommend go with GSO 12 inch as at lower price you will get same quality in observation and if you want to go with Brand name Celestron than you can choose that also I will check with Modern Telescopes for discount for both I hope this will help you in buying 🙏

Isn't manual Dobsoninas realy difficult to handle as the magnification to see the planets is +150x and at that magnification you have to do some really difficult tracking!

I think If you are new to telescope everything feels difficult but spent some time and understand the things it will be easy to use and more important thing is Finder scope syncing it is best way to object spotting DOB mount is easy to use compared to EQ with this big telescope so patience and finder scope syncing will solve your problem

This telescope comes with Dobsonian mount which is Alt-azimuth mount for polar alignment you need Eq mount This telescope is recommended only for Deep sky observation and planetary too Not for Deep Sky Astrophotography Planetary photography is also bit difficult but possible

Great for Globulars, Tucana 47.ngc 6752,Omega M5, galaxy sombrero M104,ngc253,.Jupiter Mars soon use light green or yellow Filter onMoon planets. Btw Mars needs to be high up away from horizon at 250× or more .will see ice caps and MANY surface details 6mm 68° eyepice cheap on temu or alie good.
