Its not working for me. Whenever i move after i do the 5 poison. He always charges me right when i go to the place to activate mimic veil. I even used Crepus's Vial and he still attacked me.

If he keeps flashing besides the platform, you can still use the shield to approach him. I also got this a couple times.

Then you can use a shield and trick him into falling 😁. It just gets more dangerous.

Oh I see. I actually mentioned this in that vid: in each phase, after freezing great sage 2 times, the 3rd time will fail because of his chill resistance accumulation. So, my method is that Bat, Immobilize, Bat, Immobilize ...

It's all about getting a criti hit. Longer you stay invisible, higher criti hit chance you have. But you still might not get criti hit with 90% criti chance.😂

@shengqian ooohhh ok so essentially- getting all 3 hits to crit perfectly is just very lucky RNG? I can get on board with that. The save state is more necessary than I initially thought- not that I haven't been doing that throughout this whole game but, still... Even more so for this one 😂

For this cheese, we wanna have the highest dmg to get one shot kill.Since Cloud step and meds can increase criti chance, dark iron staff is the only option.

In the latest patch, he won't die easily. You have to wake him up and trick him to fall.

You can try wukong stance (+25% dmg and +25% dmg reduction) + Fan + Bat + duplicates, which can crash any single boss (except Great Sage) 😁

It takes a little bit time to get used to its parry system. In my experience, timing of normal parry is a little bit earlier than you think. But parry with this weapon, timing is back to normal, just like other souls game. lol

Finally beat this challenge! I noticed from your strategy with the Yaksha King, it's good to have that charged thrust attack handy the second he goes into his ground attack with those spikes. Once I've learned that move my battle was good. Appreciate it!

personally i swap out the the spike thing that deals dmg to enemies that attack you for the orb thing that can rez you if killed when its active

Still works. He kept blinking at the stairs and did not vanish, but after I moved a little in mimic form, he snapped in place on the right side in the stairs. I kept on the left side with a shield, survived the holy aoe twice but eventualy he fell.
