Nice video apart from the shaking, could have shown the boat going past as well, you could have shown something of that second bridge opening closing as well. What is that other bridge? On zooming in it looked as though there were people on it as it moved.

Every time I go by this it's full of alcoholic immigrants drinking and throwing their shit all over. They make me fucking sick. It's heartbreaking that our city has been turned into the dumping ground for the EU, Middle east and Africa.

Nice video and a very lucky catch! 👍 I definitely think it's quite cool how there's two different bascules working either together or independently here.
@maproductions99452 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I always thought that was cool too, it's actually classed as two bridges because of the way it operates.

From that alarm sounding to the barriers closing it didn't give you much time to get across safely!
@amandasmith33032 жыл бұрын
I bet Hull City Council have some great CCTV of my running across these at breakneck speed!I drive across pretty quickly too,I would have had a panic attack stuck in that traffic once the alarm sounded!

Update-i have since been on North Bridge,obviously not noticed the bridge operator and the alarm decided to sound when I was halfway across and stationary due to the traffic lights.Needless to say I got a bit of a sweat on!

You can hear the sound of birds chirping in the closed position,as it opens it changes to bells,but even better is getting on and off at one end knowing the other end is open!

The only bridge I don't fear crossing and I have had the pleasure of riding on it twice.I do wish the council would do the weekend openings again as it is good fun-and no scary alarms to make you jump out of your skin either!

Nice videos! Always think this is a very cool crossing whenever I see videos of it. I really like how it's more like two crossings in one (as partially demonstrated in your second lowering). I sometimes wonder how much more complex the controls in the signalling centre for this one are compared to most crossings out there. 👍😁
@maproductions99452 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Me too, I feel lucky to have such a crossing locally, been spotting at it for over a decade now and have seen it through many phases. I have some videos somewhere of it in around 2010/11. I reckon it's no different than your average crossing, just wired a bit differently to the controls obviously.
@AdamR19852 жыл бұрын
Me and my dad had a similar conversation to this, and my dad said to me that the crossing has two separate REBs that are linked together, so the crossing can act all as one during the standard sequence, but can be split up if needs be, which would make sense
