Joe Bring I know some people eat sharks meat, but there is a special way of preparing it, otherwise it has a specific taste or smell of ammonia! Never tried it

What was the wind speed that day? Also it may have came from downriver in the Brazos since I’d was on the channel side. Nice catch

Nice catch. However, it is not a bull shark. That is a sandbar shark. This is the time of year they are caught close to the beach. They have larger fins and a slightly narrower nose than a bull shark. Many people mistaken sandbars for bulls.

Instead of getting a quick release they sit there and watch it suffer that’s why our snarking fishing isn’t the same anymore

toomy thach actually I was there this was my husband. It was as quick of a release that could have been done. He wasn’t prepared for shark fishing he went out solely jack fishing. All he had was his gaff and no rope. He’s also a disabled veteran. Which makes things a bit more difficult for him. That’s the problem with videos like these. It comes into the picture way after the fact. And you only see one side. It was a SIX foot shark. I’d like to see you catch a 200+ pound shark on a steep slick rocky wall.
