I watched this race when I was little. I was hoping that Erin Crocker would win the Ford 300 and the Busch Series championship and not Kevin Harvick, Matt Kenseth, or Carl Edwards. I rooted for Erin Crocker to win the Ford 300 and the Busch Series championship! When Matt Kenseth is leading the race, I called him Swiper the Fox again by saying "Oh no! It's Swiper the Fox again! He is about win another race!" and also said "Swiper, no winning!" until the race ended. But it was too late! It was Matt Kenseth who won the Ford 300. I said "Oh No! Swiper the Fox cheated again!" and Kevin Harvick won the Busch Series championship! I still hate Matt Kenseth for winning the Ford 300 and Kevin Harvick for winning the Busch Series championship. So i stopped watching the Busch series because of Matt Kenseth, Kevin Harvick, and Carl Edwards!

I watched this race when I was little. I was hoping that Erin Crocker would win the Arizona Travel 200 and not Kevin Harvick or Carl Edwards. I rooted for Erin Crocker to win the Arizona Travel 200! When Matt Kenseth is leading the race, I called him Swiper the Fox by saying "Oh no! It's Swiper the Fox! He is about win the race!" and also said "Swiper, no winning!" until the race ended. But it was too late. It was Matt Kenseth who won the Arizona Travel 200. I said "Oh No! Swiper the Fox cheated!". So I started to hate Matt Kenseth, a.k.a., "Swiper the Fox" for that.

I'm Mexican, I would have liked to go see those races, especially because I'm a fan of American Nascar. The good thing is that they will return in 2025, hopefully they will be cheap, because Formula 1 is expensive here.

Can't believe they replaced Stacey Compton with Mike Cope. Mike Cope had done nothing in NASCAR. It showed when he got in that truck.

Insane crowd turnout considering the cup and busch series were racing in Richmond this weekend i believe. Definitely a stand alone truck event

My first NASCAR race. Boss gave me a ticket. Turn four 1section 3 rows up. My hair blew right the entire race constantly getting hit with little pieces of tire rubber. No hearing protection or safety glasses. Remember smelling like a pit crew member. I WAS HOOKED.

I used to love hearing Dale Earnhardts interviews when he was buckled in the car. They were always short and to the point. Dude was beyond focused and ready to go. Read that he hated being bothered by reporters when he was in the car. Think I speak for alot of nascar fans when I say I miss Earnhardt it still doesnt feel real after all these yesrs. Hard to believe it actually happened to him

Not a happy birthday for Dennis Setzer? My guy was paid to run less than ten laps, celebrated his 50th IN VEGAS, had the rest of that Saturday to do what he wanted. Sounds like a lot of potential to be a HAPPY birthday!

I know a lot of things get mentioned and then considered & felt as eerie in hindsight, but the way Greg Gumbel in this clip describes Daytona, it really hits you hard (at least it still does with myself!) in the most difficult of ways, especially after the inevitable happened almost 18 short months later, in 2001.

If I was CBS sports producer, I would have stayed to introduce the grid on the pace lap then left at 4:35pm to go to golf then gave an update on the red flag and come back for the start at 5:35pm to 5:45pm and come back to Talladega at 6:00pm to it's end with live coverage. It would have been a win for Golf fans as they can continuing watching NASCAR during the Golf telecast and after and a win for NASCAR fans as they could watch the race during and after the golf telecast. which would have mean't having primetime programming like CBS News and 60 Minutes postponed into the evening or rescheduled. CBS opted to go with the worst decision possible by not airing the race at all live and angering NASCAR fans.
The year that Brian "The Brainless" France ruined NASCAR and became the Ed McMahon of racing!
