The blade should not be centered on the wheel. The deepest part of the gullet on the blade should be centered on the wheel.

When I set up my new 10-326, I had an extra 6 or 8 inch steel bar that I can't find a use for. I see the same short steel bar at 9:53 on the video in the hand of one of the demonstrators. What is that?

FYI, I tried to scan the QR code to the assembly video in the instruction manual and I got a 404! That should probably be rectified, it's a little nervewracking for an introduction into this assembly 😅

the only thing I had is the fence in the tall position blocks you from lowering the guides if your cutting something lower to the table and closer to the blade and in the short position its too short for adequate support. I guess I will have to get another shorter fence to clamp to it. I dont know.

The fence drift adjustment works great. I find the main clamp for the fence moves the fence at least 1/16” as I tighten it down. Is there anyway to set the fence position accurately so that it doesn’t move after you clamp it? Any suggestions for modifications?

Love my 80-805, just couldn’t justify the (1 hp for myself). Aside from something like a Veritas Magnetic Base light (the one that flexes and runs off three AA batteries) do you have any good specific lighting suggestions. I have an Otte light system that I can move around for tasks as needed and then too I have swing arm light that I set in various places on my work bench. I’m interested in any suggestions you all my have for a light won’t need to move all over every time I need it (quite often when chair making and constantly stripping/dubbing drawknives/inshaves/scorps/adze/hewing axe/travisher). I have my grinders on pedestal grinder stands and attaching a dedicated swing arm light isn’t the best, because I end up with far more range/swing than I need. Is the the swivel base the best thing going? I certainly don’t want to open up the grinder and wire my one light in and there’s really no need since I’ve got a 4 outlet hard electrical receptacle box I’ve already mounted to the stand just below the accessory rack. Thinking that flex one like the Lee Valley/Veritas maybe the best storyteller at to go since there’s no cords and I could also use it to add extra light to drill press when I’ve got a funky set up… any brand/style recommendations? Thanks, Shannon

I have this exact grinder. From Lee Valley I purchased the OneWay grinding wheel balancing kit. The kit comes with two very high quality balancing flange set-ups and a simple balancing stand. After fussing with the balancing procedure with this kit, I ws able to eliminate 90 percent or more of the wobble, and 99 percent of vibration. But... the wheels that come with this particular grinder have 5/8" arbor holes. The balancing kit will only work with wheels that have 1" arbor holes so, I purchased an 80 grit wheel from OneWay for my fine grit wheel and a 46 grit Norton 3X wheel ($62) from Lee Valley. Combined with the OneWay jig and tool rest kit, their diamond truing jig and a few other OneWay accessories, this budget grinder does function well and is vibration free. I am able to sharpen lathe tools much better, quicker and easier than ever before. Many serious turners use CBN grinding wheels which are much more expensive than these premium wheels I have. I've never had the opportunity to use a high quality professional industrial grinder, but I imagine the same process to wheel balancing etc would apply to those as well. Bottom line, this grinder for $99, better wheels, well designed tool rests and sharpening jigs plus some investment in time and effort learning how to tune all of this have resulted in a fairly decent grinder that is more affordable for me.

Just got mine today, and I had loose bolts on the motor housing, it came with no instruction book, and both my wheels wobble! You guys should give me a discount for paying $200 for a defective product. Problem is, I had the guy at my local woodcraft store open 5 of these same grinders to check for the wheels wobbling, and I literally picked the 1 out of the 5 he opened with the SMALLEST AMOUNT OF WOBBLE BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM WOBBLED LIKE CRAZY!!!!!! I feel like you guys should send me a refund, or some type of discount coupon for a different RIKON tool to make up for your IMMENSE failure here. I should NEVER as a customer have to repair something that is BRAND NEW, Ill be posting a youtube later and I will add the link to this comment. I've never been so disappointed in you guys.

To what grit will that dresser make the wheel? Could you sharpen knives with it?
@g.m.forsythe96263 жыл бұрын
In the demo we do not see you restoring the bottom bearings to their proper position. The only mention you make of them after the new blade is in place is that they have to duplicate the position 3/16" behind the gullet as the upper bearings are. It would have been reassuring to this newbie to see how they are adjusted back into their proper position.

Now that I have owned this saw for about 4 months , I have to say, it’s a magnificent saw and quite the upgrade to my shop. The only thing I would change is actually 2 changes is the E stop, this E stop should of been placed higher on the column so that is easier to access in case of emergency and definitely not hidden/ obstructed while using the fence, 2nd would be the auxiliary power , you can only use the auxiliary power supply if it’s wired for 110 , cannot be used while configured for 220v… this auxiliary is a great option for a work light , as the upper cabinet as do all saws cast a shadow on your workpiece. Neither is a deal breaker for me , and I would of still bought this saw if I had known.the pros of this saw certainly outweigh the cons, construction, resaw capacity, ease of blade change, tons of power, accuracy, fence, fairly quite and next to no vibration. 9 out 10 for me. Great product !

Got mine today. Nice saw. One big design flaw though... You can't fully open the bottom door because it hits the back wheel at about 45 degrees.
@steveiv92503 жыл бұрын
If it is hitting your wheel while open at a 45 I would say something is wrong with you cabinet/ assembly , just got mine a few months ago , and the door opens completely, as it does in the video.

Does the 10-326DVR use a 3 phase motor? Or is it the same single phase motor as the non-DVR version?
