My yard was being chewed up by moles. It looked like an army of them had invaded. Trying to save some money I tried several types of traps, poison peanuts, I hooked up my truck’s exhaust to a tube and pumped exhaust into the holes. I tried drowning them with a hose placed into the holes. The moles won. I finally called a guy who specialized in ridding yards of moles. He caught 2 or 3 moles. It worked and haven’t seen any moles in 3 years.

Plant the meadow checkermallow! It's completely endemic to just the Willamette Valley and like 90-something percent of its habitat has been taken by agriculture and development, and conveniently it's a lovely garden plant. It's also a hostplant for west coast lady butterfly, very beautiful and one of the most clay tolerant plants you will ever meet!

I’m 25 years old I saw a commercial about this and I was like that looks cool so I looked it up and holy shit I was raised in Tigard. This is such a fascinating video Shock it doesn’t have so many use.

We have a beautiful array of native plant species that are highly adapted to our soil, temps, and rainfall. In Central Oregon, the trick is figuring out which micro-climate you are planting for.

More videos on snakes in the garden is needed! I'm not sure I've ever seen one before. I came looking for more information on snake habitat in the garden only because, on accident, I put cardboard, temporarily, in the garden with a tarp on top. Two months later, I finally got around to putting the cardboard in my pathways and found snakes in them. I then started my research to find out if they were the reason I had no slugs or Japanese beetles this year. A big blue tarp in the garden is not appealing. Next year, I'm planning on strategically placing rock piles around the garden and allowing vegetation to grow in the walkways (I have raised beds). One thing you didn't mention was a water source for the snakes. I leave my watering can on its side with water still left in it. I will also add black garden fabric or plastic in different areas. One thing is for sure snakes are far superior to Sluggo, beer and hand picking! Thanks for the video!

Would this work against Artillery Fungus (shotgun fungus)? I have a lot of landscaping with large areas covered with black mulch - cedar this time - and I'm hoping to avoid the fungus developing and sending it spores all over my car and walk ways...

Honestly they look awful. They lost all their beauty growing taller. I had one and very soon all leaves built up super compressed and when I transplanted it they popped up like a ball so the roots didn't even touch the soil. It's like having living stone plants as big as an Echinocactus grusoni, it doesn't make any sense. If nature made them as they are there is a reason for that.

I love this video to remind me of how to & where to cut. How can I get more blooms? I’ve had 1 injured about 3 times and the others have been planted about 3 yrs now & I only get about 3 blooms & the blooms seem to dry out quickly.

I have a Dramm watering wand and it developed a leak in the "screw" that is depressed with the handle. It's only a few years old. I've given up on spending a lot on hose wands and spent $8 on one at my local store. It may only last a year or two, but it's far cheaper than investing any more than that. They all eventually leak.

This stuff is no joke, I've used this on everything outside. The 30 second product melts mold away almost instantly. I recently moved into a house that was covered with mold! The roof the siding, all the masonry including the concrete were covered with it. Not anymore!!

Do you have any advice on caring for these? I just got one a few weeks ago. I planted it in a pot and it was blooming and looking good then all the sudden it stopped and started getting black around where the blooms should be growing. It’s my 1st plant I am actually dedicated to try and keep alive but I am not finding much info anywhere to actually care for it. Please help!
