I am currently making this project for my wife, and mostly as an excuse to finally stop being a fraidycat about learning to make clothing. Thanks for the comprehensive details and pattern. This is somehow less intimidating than getting the paper patterns pre made at the store because I couldn't understand all the markings intuitively like this one. I especially like that you made it layered and printable in those layers, this took all the confusion out for me.

Hey Ruby! I was wondering how you made the two tier black skirt from the beginning of your video. Should I just make two gathers of slightly different sizes? For example, would pairing the 9.5 and the 11.5 gathers get the result you got?

Any other stretch stitch, but im assuming if your zig-zag doesnt work then the other stretch stitches might not either (like the lightning stitch) or just get a double needle and do a straight stitch with that.

I'd look for a mens specific pattern, as this design it's probably not going to very comfortable for well,, a mans crotch tbh

For anyone attempting to make this skirt I’d recommend you to use interfacing for the waist pieces. I bought and tried this pattern using a satin fabric and I regret not using interfacing for the waist pieces. Now I have to start all over again 😂😭

@@errerre I’m glad I helped! If you don’t want to use interfacing you can always go for bridal satin which is more sturdier than regular satin!
