Electronic lock can be both ways (or even configurable), the key word you looking for are fail SECURE / fail SAFE, fail SECURE means if power failed it stay locked, fail SAFE means if power failed it stay open.

"Can a magnetic lock be used for double swing doors?" YES it can! I know this because we have two of these on security doors at my workplace with keycard access. The lock pictured is the incorrect maglock for a double swing door.

Hi! Is there a way to make the bolt stay retracted to let the door be opened by customers coming into a store? The wiring diagrams I've seen don't seem to show that as a real possibility. Thanks for your video!
