I’m going to try this today, fingers crossed , hopefully it works. My multimeter shows that the cells are still holding a charge. Wish me luck 😊

Good info, but be careful, you are dealing with a lipo and they can be volatile. Make 100 certain you don't reverse the connection or accidentally short it to another pin.

Wow thank you! I never thought of doing this. It's the same principle as energizing a capacitor. I got the yuneec breeze drone when it first came out in 2016. Only about 5-6 charge cycles and the two batteries that it came with failed. At the time batteries for the breeze we're not easily available to replace unless directly from China. Yuneec customer service through email was terrible no help at all. I ordered a set directly from China 2 months went by and never received The batteries. So it sat in my closet since 2023. Did the battery jumper trick here in their back to life.

If you aren’t concerned with size, you can hit up any of the government docks on Simcoe or the downtown shoreline in Barrie. Perch are plentiful! Good luck!

I did it for 5 seconds with a 20 volt dewalt and still blue flashing, , put it back on for 20 seconds and it started flashing red, yay. The alligator clips were really hot though I noticed when I removed them from the battery a minute later.

Thanks a million. It worked perfect. Even on my 2 year old dead batteries. By the way, my batteries are for the Typhoon H plus. Further down on the comments, thanks on the warning from Brandon DeYoung. I did 30 seconds on one of my batteries and it worked (I got lucky) but from now on I will only do 10 seconds and go on up from there.

Those cables were a DIY project. All of the materials needed were purchased on amazon. 18 gauge wire and crimp on alligator clips.
