Rest in peace big Richard Lewis. This seems like the show Loudermilk but about 20 years earlier.

LOL!! That's what brought me here as well. I went on a youtube standup binge over the weekend and only just saw that clip. It's one of the funniest and best-delivered stories I've ever heard. Sent it to about 10 people. He deserves for it to go viral. "Leprechaun 2" gets a 6% rating from Rotten Tomatoes. Might watch it anyway.

*although, upon further investigation,, I think the movie in question was probably "Barfly," not "Drunks." The former is billed as a comedy-drama.

Wow! Looks like a stellar cast! And Spalding always makes me smile (I thought it was choir practice taking a break. LOL) It's a thin line between 'attraction rather than promotion' when it comes to AA movies. But looks like this faithfully depicts how alcoholics share their past humiliates and fears of the future. Kudos!

I love this movie. Taped it off of Cable when it came out, and still watch it from time to time. ( and yes, I still have a VCR ) (:
