King had heretical beliefs, but he believed in God and that He played a role in what King was trying to do, which is why it's not accurate to call him a Marxist/Socialist. It's like the difference between Malcolm X and the Nation of Islam and the Black Panther Party. The two are not synonymous though they had similar ideologies. The Black Panther Party was influenced by Malcolm, but they were definitely Marxist - a godless organization that saw no need for God or any religion. Malcolm on the other hand absolutely saw that God was a necessity when it came to solving theissues in black America.

Absalom Jones accidentally knelt to pray on the "White Section" of the altar (Let that sink in) they were asked to get out of that section. Rev. Allen asked to wait after prayer and they would move. Also within Baptists, why was The SBC formed? Over slavery. Finally, also Pentecostals. Why was The Assemblies of God formed? Whites did not want to be led by a Black Pastor, Rev. Charles Harrison Mason in The COGIC so the White Contingency left The COGIC to form The White Assemblies of God. I am dumbfounded by the lack of ignorance of Church History in The USA.
