Prokofiev is an incredible composer and my favorite for ballet. This imagining of Cinderella is delightful! The e editing is exemplary.

Extraordinaria produccion que demuestra que se puede variar epocas y lugares tanto en la opera como en el ballet sin hacer los desastres modernos que acostumbran los directores de escena y que arruinan totalmente la experiencia musical. Tanto Romeo y Julieta como esta Cenicienta poseen una musica inspirada y brillante sobre todo el leitmotiv principal de un lirismo y belleza extraordinarias. Ademas es divertida y llena de sentido de humor con las hermanastras representadas por hombres (si, cual es el problema?) que tienen momentos especialmente hilarantes. En resumen, una producción brillante, moderna pero sin molestar (como las producciones actuales) y una musica excelsa del gran Prokofiev (cuya musica cada vez aprecio mas)

Weeeeelll, the Cinderella role is perfectly done, she is fantastic. The costumes are really gorgeous. buuuuuuuut... Im tired of seeing the sisters portrayed by men. And there was so little scenery and sets. But the dancers are wonderful. In all the choreo was great.

I looked at the beginning and end of the video for a cast list and all choreography and production credits, but I found nothing. It would be more respectful to all involved if they were listed in full.

Need more info on the production. Would like to purchase on dvd.

Wow. What a piece of "what do we do" junk. I imagine there were some women who could have played those roles well; as it is here we simply have a joke which we are aware of constantly. Look at me; aren't I funny because I am a man ( I think ). Sheeeesh! Save us!

I was looking for a traditional version of this ballet. The step “sisters “ we’re SO good I was totally hooked. All of the dancers were fabulous and the whole production was captivating. Thanks.
