Very nice in these colours! I personally have the rather monochrome Stresemann M805 with it's grey stripes and Rhodium-covered gold trim and a (rather substantial, verging on "B") Pelikan "M" nib. Amusingly enough you also have two further Pelikans I own, the black M200 ("B") and the white over brown M400 ("M"). I'm always oscillating back and forth about getting a M1000 but so far I managed to resist - last time I almost bought a used one I instead got a Montblanc 146 in "B"-Oblique... which was more expensive but , oh well, it's fairly unique...🧐😅 I think they are *very slightly* cheaper here in Germany than in states, so double congrats on the new one - I'm not a great fan of navy blue (chiefly in my suits though, got just two in navy) but here it looks *awesome* when contrasting with the *very* slightly ecru-tinted white, maybe more of a winter white or a bright off-white. That pen is stunning! I love cream/gold/navy together. Absolutely beautiful and your handwriting is so nice as well! I don’t see people getting the Pelikan’s that often…maybe it’s the channels I watch, lol. But, if the pen is in that style, it’s usually a Sailor (which I love also…the flat top and bottom style pen.) I love the Pelikan’s with the striping down the barrel, those are so classic and pretty. Thanks for showing it off! I hope you got a good deal on it!

Thank you for sharing your unboxing! I have had this pen on my radar since a few months ago when I found it on a pen website’s “coming soon” tab. It looked like it had a simple elegant charm to it. I even had it in my shopping cart from endless pens and probably at the lowest price point to be found! However, I still didn’t buy it.. I had seen the Pelikan warm gray in person and was underwhelmed with it and so I felt that this cream blue might also be underwhelming and I hadn’t found a price that I felt comfortable paying. it does look nice and I wonder is the blue so dark that you only see it’s blue if it’s held to the light? I will keep My eye out for it to see if it goes on sale again at a good discount. I hope that you love it and that it fits well into your pen rotation. Thank you for sharing!

It really looks like a M200, where's the beef?😁 It does show the shading of the Robert Oster Tea Time ink very well. I like it. But EF nib? That looks to me like it's easy a medium. Having the kids in activities is great for them but keeping their things organized can be just another chore. My kids are 11 and 13 and have only played sports for 2 years and I think it gives them more incentive to keep their things organized since it's not like emptying the dishwasher or taking the garbage out. My older son has gotten much better and having a routine has been good. I only need to remind him a few hundred times for certain things. But I also hate trying to remember wear the flagsbelt is from last Saturday's game. When i see his teammates wearing other blue shirts that are not their jersey I kind of chuckle to myself they must have not told their mom/dad they needed it washed and it's in a ball on the floor somewhere.🤣🤣🤣🤣

I believe that was her 2nd Hippo Noto Kickstarter. I ordered mine when it first went up online. Well, like you I received mine over 4 years later. I can’t remember if I received it around the end of last year or the first of this year. I don’t feel it was handled well and I’m convinced it was more to it than we know. I vowed never to do another Kickstarter again with anyone.

Beautiful cases! I love to see how different people’s storage solutions are. I do wooden pen boxes for long term storage and like 1-3 pen cases to take pens to go write places. I really like my Aegean Leather and Qualia Leather cases.

Just checking back in with an update. Today I received the Hippo Noto notebooks I ordered roughly five years ago. Like yours, mine arrived dinged along the edges. The slip cases are badly crunched and a little damage shows up on the notebooks thenselves. They shipped them in bubble wrap envelopes when they should be using boxes. I like my notebooks pristine and these are definitely not, but I'm certainly not going to ask for replacements after five years. I dud email them suggesting they switch to boxes just in case they are still shipping. I will not be doing business with Squishy Ink again.

The outside leather is ok, but the inside looks like the interior of a station wagon from the 80's. And I'm in the back bouncing around with all my friends. 🤣😅🤓Ohh no! I received a Sailor King of Pen with factory defects (misaligned tines, uneven iridium and grinds) out of the box. I sent it to Mattieu Faivet in France. He had the work assessed and completed and pen in the post back to me in 3 days! Great communication in the process. His nibmeister work was flawless and now my KoP writes perfectly. I recommend his work 100%!
