Thank you for the video! What kind of glue did you use here?
@francocalvagna8578Ай бұрын
Hello! We used polyurethane glue on the veneers to form the blocks. In the states, a good choice is Gorilla (brand) glue. Thank you for watching!

Finding your vlog fascinating, but I am curious about the type of glue used to stick the paeones. As you only press them briefly, is this a superglue or normal wood glue?

Hello @gordonmacgregor7762 , I am happy to hear you enjoy these videos! We used standard wood glue in the course for this process. It’s a little deceiving because I edited so much out for time. Actually, once I got started, I set a few in place then held pressure for a minute or so. As I review the original clips, I spent well over an hour placing these. Definitely a very meditative process 😊

@@francocalvagna8578 Are you planning to post the whole course?
@francocalvagna85782 ай бұрын
@@JuanDeMarias Basically, yes, as I experienced it (but edited). Mostly my personal experience building the guitar. My hope is people will get a glimpse of the process and make the journey themselves. Also, I think for those who have taken the course, it will be a chance to relive the experience! I have a lot of hours of video so it’s turning out to be quite a big job! 🙂 Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoy!

@@francocalvagna8578 It definitely helped me to remember some steps as I'm currently building another guitar and there are lots of small details impossible to remember them all. Please keep posting! However I would suggest maybe to shorten the actual work on each step only to the minimum necessary to understand it, only the beginning and end without showing it all in real time. This would shorten significantly the video.

@@JuanDeMarias Thank you, this is just the type of input I need! I am glad to hear this may help! I'll definitely try to condense the future videos. As I set up my own shop, I realized how many of the details I forgot. This has been helpful for me as well. It's been exciting to go back through all the footage and relive my "mistakes" 😄
