Thank you Lake Street for the fun weekend in Boston. I was fortunate enough to run into Bridget. Said oh my god Bridget is that really you ? She said yes it is. The admiration I have for her and she’s so cool 😎 Highlight of my weekend and the shows were great also.

I enjoy Katie Pruitt’s music, but I admit I was worried about her singing with Rachel. Rachel is such a powerhouse. But when they started harmonizing, that little smoke Katie brought in created a new flavor profile I didn’t know I was missing. Gorgeous collab, chefs kiss!!

I've been listening to music for 74 years. I don't care for covers of my favorite songs, with very few exceptions (Disturbed doing "Sounds of Silence" comes to mind). This remake is one of those rare exceptions. Very melodious voices is one reason. And here's one I'll bet you've never heard before- I like the fact they enunciate. We're all heard way too many songs that even after decades, we still don't know what the correct lyrics of the song are. Oftentimes it is because whomever produced the record cranked up the instrumental parts. Anyhow, this has gone on too long now (rambling lonely old man syndrome). Job well done ladies and gents. I now subscribe to Lake Street Dive.

It's a Hofner "violin bass." A lovely instrument - very distinct sound.

Not familiar with Katie, But she sure fits in with the band! I loved her facial expressions as she sang. Every note showed on her face , bringing out the best in Rachel too. Bridget's bass work was properly in front. Very good camera work!

Very intimate, soulful performance; LSD at its best. I don't know of any other modern group that can perform just anywhere and sound good just anywhere.

Full disclosure. My wife and I attended the Indianapolis concert downtown just to see Katie Pruitt. We had never been to a Lake Street Dive concert before. Security upgraded us to the pit and we had a BLAST listening to both sets.

All I could think was "that's how I want my music. I want it my way". And then I started adding mouth drumming. I think it sounded better than Bridget's.
