The timeline on mother and illness in vague terms: mother got pregnant, thus lost her value, thus was now forced to sleep with customers to make money, after she gave birth ofc, and since she couldn't be picky bc of her lost value, it could be any customer. And thus she caught syphilis from a customer and slowly started getting more and more sick, until the house couldn't wave it off anymore and keep using her. Instead they put her in the annex, away for public eye, since it would be very bad for their reputation to have a (former) courtesan with syphilis. And it progressed to the point of effecting her brain (losing memory and becoming completely docile), as well as giving her a "saddle nose" (don't look up, it's very eugh, and happens from very late stages of syphilis, when it basically eats up nose cartilage.) Note that her nose is always covered from view by hair (in the manga it's more apparent)

The Granny told him she was already bought and he went to play a game of go with Meimei, not knowing MaoMao was there, just hidden from him. - Now Lakan knows Jinshi for sure bought out MaoMao and went to confront him about it, that's when he called him a thief, mentioned that Granny kept her away from him for a decade (telling her to hide and wait until he leaves) and fully confirmed that's his daughter to put pressure on Jinshi to give her to him.

My favourite thing about that fight between the dragon and the demon is that Travis (Grog's VA) is a massive wrestling fan, and a mocap artist. He's the one who pushed for (and probably did some reference for) the demon doing a Stone Cold Stunner halfway through. This show really is a bunch of friends just doing whatever they want and it's amazing.

Heavy is the crown, be careful what you ask for. That shot of Mel after Cait reveals her strike force is so good. She looks absolutely terrified, like she can see every bad thing that’s about to happen and she can’t stop it.
