I read the manga further from season 2 , thorfinn definitely suffered a lot mentally too and he was on a path to redeem himself, trying to even make his enemies realize that he no longer is the person he was in the past and certainly he did make enemies but he tries his best to no longer make an opportunity for people to develop grudges towards him and he is indeed practical about the line “I have no enemies “ cause at times even he has to throw that away when violence is inevitable. I think it’s mostly cause of how much he was going through in his head and all those years away from war and a opportunity to think from another perspective also he realised why his dad chose the life he lived , all of this contributed.

If you get a chance, check out Goodnight Punpun. It’s a pretty raw slice-of-life manga that's kind of the opposite of berserk. Fair warning, though-it can be pretty intense and traumatic, so if you're not into that kind of stuff, just dont read it, it will end up affecting you in an negative way

In my view, "i have no enemies" is about being kind the way Thors was. Thors fought for right and defended his people. To me, even Askladd was a preacher of the same philosophy, even though most people will say otherwise, I think it is a very deep and intrinsic philosophy, which cannot be described in terms of binary. Having no enemies to me is about having no grudges against anyone; you have the right to be angry or fight back, but taming hatred is something else.

"I have no enemies" isn't about saying that you actually don't have enemies but instead it's other people who perceive you as an enemy. When word enemy is uttered , destruction is what comes to mind . To kill the enemy , so when the phrase "u have no enemies" comes it also implies to a very controlled way of destruction of someone.
