I prefer the old Ashley. You cant beat the good old ballistics. Gameplay wise I prefer the old aswell. Maybe its just me but ever since I played RE4 around 2005 even today on my switch I never have problems with Ashley. Her timing with ducking and moving behind your back is fast. She is actually fun having around as the enemies behave differently. This makes you easily do headshots. If you keep on dying while having Ashley with you its either you're not good with headshoots or stunning enemies or doing crowd control on the enemies.

New ashley is more annoying and a lot more stupid. Og is still better. Just because something is new doesnt make it better. Og she doesnt seek attention from Leon, she keeps to herself and lets Leon do his job since he is competent there. She doesnt get in the way of your aiming she rarely screams if you're actually decent at the game (not that her voice is irritating but i find it unbearable in the remake mostly due to her competence) she actually has consistency in her character and doesnt act like a girl boss in random moments like in the remilk. What does re ake ashley have to offer other than be a nuissance. Not to mention it takes 3 to 4 shots to let enemies drop ashley unless you upgrade your weapon but i suppose thats the problem with gameplay. Og is still far better sorry not sorry. Also that dumb arguement that "Ashley does more in the remake" in what way? And in what way does she do more without having leon looking like an incompetent agent who suppose to do his job without help
