No surprise looking back that he displaced Yaya within a year. He plays a bit quicker, makes the right choice every time. Not to say Yaya couldn’t play one touch but Busquets could do it straight away with no mistakes and that was more valuable for Pep in that position. The way he can bait players and sidestep is very advantageous over 90 mins - creates a lot of situations for Xavi or Messi to have time centrally. Touré didn’t do that so much. Was a blessing in disguise for Toure since he went to City and became a PL great.

Lol that tackle on Wright Phillips was LATE. This was a typical Scholes performance in his later career. Amazing passing, vision, ball control and dictation of tempo. Awful, awful tackling. At times ball was almost off camera by the time he made the tackle. 😂😂😂
