This is really enlightening. How do we go about getting this done. I’ve had multiple deployments with very shitty environments. Thinking back to my pulmonary issues…it makes sense.

Great product that makes clinicians more efficient and improves patient outcomes. Wondering if there is a way to incorporate clinical details and context to minimize incidental flags?

Don’t bother I’m on my second year and everything I had on there for my records are gone all the imaging records just gone suddenly. Waited on the line for 18 to try and talk to someone then just hung up knowing they weren’t going to bother servicing me…. How rude of pocket health.

Very little mention here or on many similar videos I've watched recently of the role of the relentless pursuit of "efficiency" in medicine. Hospitals and practices are mostly run by business people now, or MDs who have gotten their MBAs, and the drive for "efficiency" is practically a religion in those quarters. Let's call it by a more honest name: profit maximization. Radiologist and other docs can use all the new software tools they want to read faster and better, but the pressure for profits will not abate. And profits will be measured on a person-by-person basis, currently more or less purely by RVUs generated by that person. Leaders will continue to push their radiologists to the limit. I once asked one of our then vice-chairs (an MD MBA and prominent business professor) how he would know that the department was pushing its radiologist too hard. His answer was that they would quit. So, push people until they start collapsing. If they haven't quit, you can push them harder. There needs to be a counterforce coming from the side of real medicine, i.e. care for patients (and their doctors for that matter) that is rooted in a deep commitment to quality of care, not lip service. Administration's one tool is money: solve every dilemma by offering more in a carefully manipulating way. But the problem is pursuit of money overwhelming the pursuit of meaning and purpose. Radiologists themselves participate in this because of anxiety about money: something is wrong when ~25% of radiologist say one of the reasons for burnout is not enough compensation, when radiology is one of the highest paid jobs in the country. They are buying into the message that money is everything, even a measure of their happiness in their job. It is a pathology, and won't change until the leadership changes, or perhaps doctors unionize or otherwise organize a resistance. But there is an opportunity here for a truly visionary leader. Maybe some prominent academic practice somewhere will lead the way.

I'm very upset the cancer doctors and cancer center left me to die because I don't want chemo and don't need it cause the cancer is gone. And the nature homeopathic people have herbs to cure whatever is going on and they say I have to pay for it and it's expensive and I can with herbs help heal my blood ..
@dennaspradlin9777 Жыл бұрын
Because it's early detection I can heal whats going on naturally it has not yet gone progressive in stages they won't let me go natural amd I'd I do I have to pay for it and I need early detection again and left a cyst in my left breast and refuse to give me blood tests before the yearly mammogram test because they said it's dangerous to have more then 1 mammogram yearly .. yet they refuse to give me blood test example. The doctor sent me to the breast center when my blood white cell count was slightly elevated and they won't even let me have blood work before the year and are frustrated that it isn't the advanced and I need to be checked more often even if it's blood.. or ultrasound and wasting m e d I c a I ds money.

This was a great dive into the R&D side of the technology of PCCT. The nerd in me is very excited for how this next generation of of imaging technology is able to take advantage of the promise of “DL/AI” combined with new materials for image acquisition to give us greater resolution with less exposure and faster speeds.
