Hunni it’s too late for that now. That was almost two weeks ago and she ate up. Lauryn and her friend Tanisha told us about what happened to those Butterball turkeys on the farm. That is disguising. I’ll probably never eat another Butterball again.

IKR. To me there is no worse feeling than going into my kitchen and starting to cook something then realizing that I don’t have what I thought I had🤦🏽♀️ It happens a lot now that I have two teenagers in the house who like to cook. They just love using the things I have something planned for.

Looks well stocked. I keep mine pretty much stocked also, but forget some items
@JackiesSouthernSoul2 күн бұрын
I’ve always loved having a well stocked kitchen but I don’t cook as much as I used to anymore. I don’t buy as much so things won’t expire and go to waste. I never know when I’ll get a taste for something and I can just go into the kitchen and make it myself😃

You are so welcome. I don’t eat the whole turnip only the greens. My Mother used to cook turnip greens and she would always mix them with another green to help ease the strong flavor from the turnip greens.

Great video! I watched every second of it🥰🥰🥰 I was so glad when you took those gloves off! Sometimes we thinking cooking with gloves is more sanitary but actually can lead to more cross contamination, because we can’t feel our hands getting grimy so we don’t wash them as frequently as we should! Then touch a lot of items with gloves hands that we shouldn’t! Sometimes it’s better to wash your bare hands more frequently and work that way! Love the content, I subscribed 🥰

What’s your recipe for pecan pie?
@JackiesSouthernSoul2 күн бұрын
Hey Angela! I use the recipe that’s on the Karo syrup bottle. Sometimes I add about 4 Almond Joy’s. If you want a delicious Coconut Pie replace the pecans with a bag of coconut minus the Almond Joys. Delicious 😋

girl I enjoyed your video. My husband wanted some punches and chitlins and I did not know how to cook them and I purchased Aunt Bessies . I went through them and pulled the membrane off and followed you closely! I cooked them Saturday and today is Sunday and they are wonderful. My husband is originally from North Carolina and I am from the midwest so thank you for this tutorial :) We live here in South Carolina and I have learned to cook like a true southern woman, Lol, appreciate you!!!

You are one of few who have heard of punches! People act like I’m talking about something that doesn’t exist and ask me what punches are all the time in the comments of this video. It’s refreshing to see this comment. Thank you 🙏

Jackie put 4 butter sticks in bowl allow get room tempt then add dry seasons mix together then push under between skin of turkey breast & thighs & rub all around back & sides & wings & drums & on top of breast be juicy turkey ever
@JackiesSouthernSoul3 күн бұрын
Hey Diana! Wow that sounds so good. I’m 54 and I’m still searching for the best recipe that produces a juicy turkey. They turn out juicy when I cook them in my roaster but I have to time it just right or it will be dry. Next year I’ll use your method with a roasting bag. I’ll keep trying until I get the juiciest turkey ever 🙏
@phyllisgaines8060Күн бұрын
If you cook your turkey breast down the breast will not be dry, my husband told me that, and it works, instead of the juices going to the back,if baked breast down, the breast will be juicy.

Baking is where it’s at. I grew up to my mom boiling it. It was okay but lacking flavor and I never really cared to make it myself once I was on my own. KZbin taught me to put it in the oven and the game changed. So deliciously flavorful and easy to make. Thank you for your video

You are so welcome. I’ve always loved corned beef! I grew up eating it from the can. My Mother would cook it with potatoes and onions and it was delicious. When I first started cooking the brisket I cooked it on the stovetop but as you said it lacked flavor. Once I discovered how it tasted being cooked in the oven it became my favorite cooking method. I slice it thin and freeze it in several containers so I can enjoy corned beef sandwich’s from time to time. Delicious.
