@@ScottishRiteMasons I think you misunderstood me brother. I have heard that said in at least 3 documentaries that I can remember. In the past few years. I always catch it because I am a Mason myself. As I said, I think the people saying you must wait to be asked are trying to sabotage Freemasonry. Because as we know, if you're waiting, you will NEVER be asked. Therefore reducing possible membership. I think I have at least a couple of these documentaries on my hard drive if you seriously want the names of them. I would pretty much have to re watch them. They included interviews with Masons but were NOT produced by Masons. It's always the narrator or a non Mason saying it.

No. It isn’t. The fact of the matter is Baphomet is a MADE UP term from Phillip the Fair of France. He made the whole story up to slander the knights templars. The 18th century use of the sabbatic goat head and applying the name “baphomet” to it was the work of a grifter who wanted to sell books.

We don't worship anyone as a whole. Freemasonry is NOT A RELIGION. We are a group of men of many faiths. You asking who we worship is no different than me coming to your office and saying "WHO DO YOU ALL WORSHIP???". You don't worship ANYONE as a group. You are likely people of many faiths. What if I went to a city council meeting. 99 out of 100 meetings like that in the USA begin with a prayer. Should I demand who they all worship together? Maybe there are Muslims and Jewish people and Christians all working together on the city council. They are working to make their corner of the world better. Masons, work together and through moral lessons try to improve our own lives and the world around us by becoming the best versions of ourselves. That's what we do. So we don't worship anyone as a whole, and anything you have heard or read to the contrary is simply untrue.

​@@skro9421 To be a Mason, one HAS to believe in a "Supreme Being". Who one chooses to worship has nothing to do with the fraternity. Whether it be Jesus or Yahweh or Allah, etc depends on the brother. The fraternity imposes no religious demands on anyone. However, one cannot become a Mason if one is an atheist or satanist. "Satan" is not a "Supreme Being". As for the 33rd degree, this is an honorary degree bestowed on a brother for distinguished service to the community and the fraternity. I hope this answers your questions.

Each man has his own Faith. So. To me, Christian that’s Christ. But to a Jewish man or Muslim man, he uses another name for his God and we don’t quarrel about it. As for who is the “head mason”? Each lodge or appendant organization has its own freely elected leaders that serve for finite periods of time (usually a year). Some can be re-elected. Some are term limited. But once a man’s term of office is up, he’s just another brother.

So when you said you are a christian i suppose that being a freemason is ok with the biblical god, right? Like why wouldn’t on the other hand, right?
