Lmfao, they're still not very competitive. Watch out. I like the slow start with philosophy but the fiant rush option is the one that will win you games from time to time.

It's a little complicated but my personal playstyle doesn't fit in the game as well anymore. Hoping to get back into it some day because I love pokemon but playing against the same 5 decks every day just isn't as fun for someone like me who likes to play with a variety of cards.

Cymanti are one of the new special tribes they added and they are broadly considered one of the strongest in the early game. They struggle later on so I'm guessing this player just didn't see a way passed my defense once I took out their cenitpedes and moved on early to play an easier opponent. I played a game earlier on that stream that lasted 1.5 hours and I lost so I don't blame them.

Yeah I actually love the vengir tribe and the robin hood tribe. :D Two of my favs. I'm going to put up a ranked game of every tribe skin so stay tuned! Those two are maybe 3 weeks away.

Thank you! It's free for mobile! You get 5 of the tribes for free too so if you want to just test it out you can do that. But the mobile and computer versions, while they play each other, they don't sync so if you want to play on computer after you'd have to buy it on steam and you'd have 2 accounts.

I should also mention that if you want to play ranked on mobile you have to purchase an extra tribe for something like a dollar. Can't remember the exact cost. Happy 4th!

I grind harder than a skater boy's nuts on a grind rail. Naw I'm kidding, I had a Pokemon TCGOnline account and when they closed the old game down and force migrated everyone, if you had 125 booster packs in your inventory you got 12k credits and 12k gems as compensation. I also don't spend much, really only on the VIP battle pass so they stack up with the daily quests.

I would think that's a bug unless you're mixing up the typings. Dark Charizard ex should do 180 and scale up with the prize cards your opponent has taken, so without buffing it should add 150 damage for a total of 330 damage. 360 sounds like the 2x type effectiveness multiplier. Check if your pokemon are weak to dark.

Chilling Reigns gengar? It just rotated I think. I know the Paldean Fates Gengar has the Night Gate ability where you can swap your active to your bench once per turn. Is that what you're referring to? It is also a dark type so would fit in this deck pretty nice. If you throw a version of that deck together let me know that sounds sick.

@@mdtenebris yo, since you playing arbok & talked about PAF gengar, ever thought of including hisuian sneasle v? i feel like it pairs well with arbok swinging for 240 if all 3 special condition is active & just needs a consistent switcher.

I had it in here originally but it got shoved for other cards. There should definitely be a deck with those two that works but with the festival grounds stadium and the ancient booster capsule it's getting tougher for status effect decks these days. But yeah, i think that could work in the right deck.

@@mdtenebris you're not wrong but i do feel like that will be a potential meta shift to this for shrouded fable via poison. With poison increasingly receive support buffs sets by sets like atticus from PAF & perilous jungle from TEF, it looked like poison seemed to be setting up as alternative meta decks. That & also we still have hisuian dark mons & dark patch still in rotation. both PAF gengar & gengar ex are dark horses waiting to let loose to me. They are functional with existing cards available, but Shrouded fable will bump up all dark & poison deck for both energy acceleration (janine & crespin) & also binding mochi for additional dmg. even after all that, i see both gengars currently relevant in 2 archetypes: 1. poison-based with access to hisuian overqwil (5 dmg counter poison per checkup raw with free energy+ 2 from radiant sneasler + 2 from perilous jungle) 2. dmg counter based via radiant alakazam, munkidori & PAR lokix for +40 dmg for each dmg counter on opp active mons. also PAR liepard if you wanna have gengar ex tank a hit & swing it back to your opp by transferring the dmg back to them effectively healing the gengar ex. i myself have been trying to figure out the ideal trainer cards & count to pair both archetypes. but considering the mons line up, it make way too much sense for both of them.

That makes a lot of sense. I haven't looked at the setlist for shrouded fable yet so I don't know what's coming. I do know that a lot of the cards like atticus rely on your opponent being poisoned, and the stadiums and items they put into the game recently nullify status changes so you just can't poison the opponent without knocking out the stadium or running lost vacuum to counter those. I do love a good poison deck though and they are adding a bunch of interesting cards for them so I'm hopeful you're right and they'll be more viable with whatever is coming down the line. I should go check that set out actually lol.
