That dam looks way too small for murray cod? I always thought you needed at least a megalitre.
@cast2catch9 ай бұрын
Nah they live fine, you can put them in 3ft fish tanks at home till they get bigger so any dam is better then that 👍
@213djw11 ай бұрын
That thing is massive! there sure is monsters at Eildon
@tangxiaoshutong11 ай бұрын
wtf, that was a big lure bait, I only use small bait, is that why I never caught any murray cod?
@cast2catch11 ай бұрын
You can fish baits 10inches or even bigger when you’re chasing big cod. For small rivers I stick to lures around the 70-120mm range

Love seeing these beautiful fish being handled properly, no hanging with fishgrips is the best. Amazing fish from awesome Eildon
@cast2catch Жыл бұрын
I’m glad you enjoyed brotha. Not a fan of grips, I’d rather lose a fish to my own mistake then have grips slip out or a fish swim off with them still in its mouth 👍

Unreal video mate. What brand are your rod holders infront of your console mate?
@cast2catch Жыл бұрын
Thanks heaps mate! I’m not sure if the brand I can have a look tomorrow and see properly but they came with the boat, the ones directly infront that are in a row I’m sure you can get at most boat shops or even bcf, I’m 99% sure the top parts are just a stick on so you can put them wherever. I hope that helps 👍

Thanks mate, very easy to forget the work behind the scenes when watching another persons vid. These fish were a work of 10-12 fish-less trips and 6 or so trips with 1-2 40-60cm fish so made it extremely rewarding in the end. Very stoked 🤙

What a session! 🐟 that lure is going straight to the pool room. Keep catching donkeys like that you'll need a bigger net
@cast2catch Жыл бұрын
Hahaha thanks heaps mate, both lures were cut straight off and retired on the spot 👍 I purchased that net at the start of the season, held up very well but I think the next size up will help keep the big girls upright better for sure, gotta take care of those special fish 🙏🤙

@@cast2catch Thanks mate. I went yesterday, fished under the bridge and to the right hand side were all the trees are, got a couple of bites on the yabbies and thats it. Fish where jumping around me. I used every lure and soft plastic not a hit. I have never caught anything on a lure or a soft plastic. That didn't change yesterday unfortunately. Oh well had abit of fun though.
