Thanks for posting this - really helpful. I have a 2016 Combo D and really struggling to find manuals and other info! The service light video is a blessing - that's been driving me nuts for years!

What was the problem you were experiencing which resulted in changing this part. I have a 2011 Barbarian which sometimes will jump out of gear or stay on same gear and won’t change up. When these happen the display screen goes blank and doesn’t display any gear. I sometimes have to hold the lever in drive so it doesn’t jump out of gear. I have been told a full gearbox rebuild is the answer. Around £3000 costs.

I've had one for a few years (it only gets used for a couple hours at the weekends) and it works quite reliably for a cheap knock-off. I won't suggest it if you're using a chainsaw heavily, invest in sthil, huskavana or oregon for heavy use; but it works well for on off domestic. The fuel mix is 40:1 but has a fair amount of leeway, although it does drink like a fish. Only problems I have had is in the last couple of months where the oil and fuel pipes have perished causing leaks and the spring of the pull cord has slipped. Comparing it to my Husky, the P1 has parts that are made cheaper and not fit for as much use. It is very much a "get what you pay for", but again for small domestic use its much better than I thought.

Had my inhibitor switch adjusted couple of times but vehicle still give me trouble to go into drive...could it be that the part needs cleaning or do I need to purchase a new one ?

I have the hyundai hyc6200x it has 40:1 fuel mix. Left some fuel in in the summer and it would not start in December. Took the carb out to clean following Adrian advice on how to take it out. Needed a special tool to adjust the carb as it's not supplied. The unit worked for 1h last Sunday then it stopped and would not start. Today was I hoping to adjust the carb with the tool and it started then died, then the cord seem to have broken the plastic inside that turns the thing on. Not impressed. It has been used 4 times in 2 years. See what the guarantee is like.

Soooo did it work? It's not so much the weight of the lever I don't like, it's the abruptness of the engagement. I've also read that ATF makes them more grabby so I've gone back to normal 10w40 motorcycle oil (motul 7100) for my next ride.

Hi yes it worked for me,not as heavy and no slipping or grabbing

Any idea of part no. A I have 2007. Animal ? Want to buy one but they are asking for original part no. And ideally don't want to remove until have a new one. Or is the part number visible when on situ !!!? Thx.

Good try mate, but no call for an open heart surgery for reaching the plugs on a CB500. See to that you blow away dirt now and then from the wells (generally clean thanks to the plastic block lids on the cables) using compressed air, and then you push in the tools from below the tank, up first, then down, there is space.

Hi David, your words have filled me with dread! In the past I have always bought Stihl or Husqvarna but was convinced by someone to buy one of the above. To be honest, I was shocked at how inexpensive it was to buy (under £120) but bought it anyway. I am using it for the first time over the weekend and hope it works!
@davidnorwich37712 жыл бұрын
Just bought one via Amazon. First one the circlips holding the chainbrake together sheared off with the vibration and shed the spring, making the brake inoperable. Amazon replaced the saw and the same thing happened to the replacement. Those retaining circlips are not fit for purpose. I would look elsewhere for a chainsaw. This is just a badged far eastern sourced product that is not fit for purpose.
