*The show was obviously a hit for League fanatics, but the humour was so juvenile, that I guess the audience thought it was close to high art. I suppose watching the interviews and the games was worth it alone, but half a century of it is such a long time. I especially liked hearing them throw casual homophobic terms around like candy (boys will be boys), and this was the same people who were behind the anti-gay campaign once Ian Roberts came out. Hypocrisy is something they obviously aren't aware of, so calling the kettle black is par for the course, I guess. Vautin was eventually put out to pasture and the show quickly followed him. The game is just so completely different to what it was before the 1990s, that older people would've lost their love of it, but younger people love it regardless. That's just the way of the world, I suppose. Nothing can stop change*
