I have a 1974 marine clipper sailboat has a swing keel and I would like to do a v drive right behind the keel and off set the motor. I have a 787cc jet ski motor and have considered doing a jet drive. Any advice would be helpful aa I want to remodel for ocean use and using a small outboard kicker but have the ability to get inshore quickly incase of storms as I have a nice trailer for this boat I want a muti purpose boat and have big remodeling plans

Interesting concept! Would be fascinating to see what sort of v drive gear ratio you would need to run to keep the jetski motor happy without revving it crazy. I don't have any particular advice I'm sorry, but would suggest depending where you're located chasing some advice from any of the V Drive manufacturers and see what they say. Casale are still around in the USA as well as Argo and Haynes & Hellier in Aus. Good luck!

No idea unfortunately. Bit difficult to put a boat on a dyno 😂 I’m out of injector on 1000cc injectors, and I’m using that as my limiting factor considering it’s still a stock NA bottom end

@@the_speed_shed If l was in the position 2 do one it would have a Cupronickel Intercooler Core from Whipple Superchargers & then take that 2 Plazzman in Sydney & see if they could alter there aftermarket intake 2 suit. Glad u r enjoying Ur Boat 🚢

It’s been in the owners family since new. Now has the 3rd generation of the same family racing it, so won’t be getting sold anytime soon. Depending where you’re based, the South Queensland Power Boat Club still own the moulds for these hulls.
