only problem is, is when it snows, you will be buried by mountains of snow, which will cover the valley, 10 feed deep.

That is true, the winter weather can be quite extreme. The village is only inhabited in the summer months.

I love Appenzell. My wife and I visited about 20 years ago. Wish I could go back. I heard it was the last canton in Switzerland where women got the vote.
