This is great! thanks for the info, the fountains are really nice. If I just wanted to buy one single dimmable pump for using with one of the rotating nozzles you have there what pump do I need to buy?

@puddyman You need to have a pump that: 1) Preferably has the same size outlet as your nozzles inlet. (Using adaptors reduces flow) 2) Has an asynchronous motor (This allows you to vary the speed) I like the Oase Aquarius universal pumps, I do not use anything smaller than the 5000

whoever designed the montjuic fountains took this a step further, and instead of the filters being a disc, it instead was a giant pentagonal barrel with red, blue, yellow green and white (clear) segments, and the lamp is positioned inside the barrel, pointed up. the barrel was spun by motors and therefore color controllable, but unlike the one in the video, the whole mechanism wasnt submersible since it's too big. instead theyre positioned in pits with glass roofs, positioned in between the fountain nozzles

Thanks, I have seen a hexagonal version of what you say (I have a picture.......somewhere) but these were designed for commercial fountains, the coloured disc was for domestic fountains.

@@lynda46 The hexagonal version might be from the fountain in praza do imperio, lisbon, also made by the same eingenier who made the Montjuic fountains, Carles buïgas, he was a pioneer in lighted fountain making, and has a lot of fountains through Spain. It could also be the fountain in Cáceres, also by buïgas

@@brenwenmin It really depends on who makes something as to what they choose to call it. I have seen one called "Animated fountain jet" another is called "Digital swing jet" I am sure there are others.

Thanks, no, I never think of adding cascade nozzles to our big fountain as cascade and geyser nozzles are "water level dependant" and our big pool is not deep enough. We have a cascade nozzle in our "Test pool" kzbin.infoX77SrMoJlLo

I have one of those Aquarius 3000 Pumps before the Oase logo change, I didn't knew the new model had a plastic cage, the one I have has a stainless steel one.

Aquarius universal classic has a "plastic cage" Aquarius universal premium have a stainless steel cage.
