So Simon's dad had an ear for music. I'd say the talent runs in the family because Simon seems to have a great ear for it if he runs such a big music empire. Well, let's hope his son, Eric inherited it, too because Simon said that he intends to leave his empire to Eric. When Simon found out that the baby that he and Lauren were going to have was going to be a boy, Simon wanted to name the a baby, either after himself or his father. Honestly, I think Simon made the right decision naming his son after his dad, it's a sweet thing to do and it's great way to honor his dad's memory considering the impact his dad had on his life. It seems that Simon wouldn't be who is today if it weren't for his father.

You can definitely see A LOT of the resemblance of Simon in his late father, Eric. His father would've been SOOO proud of him and the success he's become. I think it's sweet that Simon decided to name his son(who he had with Lauren Silverman) after his father. It's kind of a pity that this was made before Simon became a father but at this time, Simon had no interest in having kids. It's not that he hated kids, he loves kids. In fact, his sister had said that he's been a wonderful uncle to her kids. He used to say that he didn't want kids because there's too much responsibility involved and he didn't want to get married either because his wife would hate him(because he'd be working and traveling so much). And yet, 7 years later, Simon became a dad but he has yet to become a married man. Will Simon Cowell become both a father AND a husband? Only time will tell.
