That “book” was actually a Radio Show during WWII that was later transcribed. He has done more for Christian apologetics and philosophy in modern history than just about any other modern author. Many, many non believers have found his works and come to believe.

this scene really took me aback the first time it happened the first moment i’m laughing my ass off at these prank calls and then it all just comes tumbling down when harry is brought to reality and that whatever past he had left with his ex-something is gone and i just started sobbing. It hurts even more that it’s an “interfacing” check so harry was probably triggering some muscle memory to be able to call his original house number and the same goes for the time harry calls the video store

I'm in a philosophy class right now and this really helped me to get why Horkheimer was making some of the points he was (specifically I was really confused why he was upset people were moving away from religion, but it makes much more sense considering the context). Thank you!

I subscribed to your channel today after going through your review on Design as Art. I found your review very descriptive and knowledgeable. It helped me realize what to expect from a book. Unfortunately, your latest video is 1 year old. Fortunately, there are a lot of reviews to refer by the time you start uploading videos again.

The moment at the end, when his voice becomes unusually quiet and docile, promising he won't swear... it brings a tear to my eye. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand and agree that his overconfidence is right for him, he obviously has to be strong to handle his situation in life. I interpret the change as him being hopeful of having a little more safety in his life, with this new job. It's like he can finally relax.

Blood Meridian is a pretty smart reference from the Cuno. Maybe his dad had a copy of the book, or he heard the term once in school (something to do with the setting sun, but the book is pretty violent and respected, so his dad might have a copy.)

Feels like most of the people commenting knew ahead of time what was going to happen at the tribunal. Seems weird to deliberately spoil a game like Disco Elysium with a walk through... Can understand a little at the start but once you've gotten going makes no sense to me to not want the surprise
