Franz sounds german… Metamorphosis? I really hope that book wasnt written around the 30’s to 40’s I have hence learned he was russian! And it was written in 1912, and for my own joy I will not be learning what happened I have hence hence learned he was Czech!

Thanks a lot. I saw it till the end. Very good novel. Shows the characteristics of a "nihilist", two love stories, father son relationships, life of the feudal aristocracy in russia, etc...
