Not actually a fighter jet, it's a ground attack plane. US Navy A-7E Corsair II, and this one carries markings showing a USAF pilot while on an exchange tour with the Navy. I don't believe this particular plane ever flew in these markings or with VA-147. In 1983, it was assigned to squadron VX-5, which was a test/evaluation squadron. The markings above show 400 NE, but in 1983, it carried 06 XE instead. In 1989, while still assigned to VX-5, it carried 03 XE.
