No one is talking about the issue im having. Got this car last month in the manuel and have spent weeks adjusting the seat, forward or backward i cannot get a comfortable driving position. I am 5'8" I believe if I was 6 foot there would not be an issue. I also have an 02 wrx in Manuel that I have no problem driving. Issue, on most stick shift cars you have to sit somewhat close to the stering whell to be able to depress the clutch all the way in, ok fine. On this car 23 Elantra N when pushing the clutch all the way in, your right foot is right on top of the accelerator and brake position forcing and uncomfortable bend in the right nee, but I cant go back with the seat becase then my left foot does not reach the clutch well and I stall the car, so have to push seat close to wheel whis brings up another issue. At being close to the whell so I can control the clutch properly there is no wher to rest my right arm except on the parking brake taht is too close to the shifter. My elbow in this position cannot rest on the arm rest becase the seat side bolster is too great pushing my elbow off the arm rest. Getting tired of hearing about the way the stick operates and no one talking about the ergonomics in this car. I got the car at carmax with 3k miles only owing half with my trade. Now back on there site looking for another 2023 with low miles in blue and there are none in an automatic. Went to the dealership to buy a 2025 Elantra N with the dct and it wont be available for another month. Plus hate the front end and wheels on the 2025 vs 2023 ughhh. Thining of doing a you tube video on the ergonomics of this car in Manuel to warn others. Other than this love the car,not giving up anb will find an Elantra N in performance blue with the automatic even if it is a 2025 model.

I already knew before you said you looked under the car. I did the same thing on a track day. I was doing 140 on the straight and braked a bit late. I exceeded the track limit. Everything was fine after the yellow flag, I got back on track. I started to hear a similar noise to yours when I got up to speed. The sound went away at lower speeds. I got black flagged where the safety marshall let me know my air damn was damaged. I checked, and sure enough the skid plate was broken in the same place as yours. I took 5 minutes and a flat head screwdriver to remove it. It cost 130 bucks for a new one and clips - with extras - and I replaced it. I later ripped the driver side undercarriage cover on a curb. I still have yet to replace that one. Can't believe that piece is over 200 dollars.

Look's as if the shroud got flipped underneath the car and scraped along the pavement. That would also explain the busted/cracked bits... suppose those push pins need to be checked every so often? I hit a piece of 18-wheeler captread in my previous Elantra and it grabbed a piece of shroud further back and did exactly that. If folded underneath the car and scraped the pavement. Scary stuff, being the car wasn't a week old. Just removed a bolt and folded the piece back up into place. I'll definitely make it a point to check those push-pins on the N every so often.

I felt every bump on the road and the seats weren't very comfy. I got in an accident with it and had to get something else. Because of availability, I ended up with an Elantra hybrid 23. The Accord is a little longer, but the Elantra has been amazing. It handles the road better, has, just as much power, and the seats are more comfortable. I don't feel like I've downgraded in any way. Everyone o knew tells me it was a bad move to go from a Honda to a Hyundai, but clearly they've never driven one.
