Mine is being installed today. However, I do have a sunscreen. I'm interested on how the drainage turns out. This would have been a good one to record.

Good tip, but if you are on 16" deck joist centers...that would be a bit tedious. Guess it's best to do it righty the first time lol

Is This Material Aluminum? Is there any concern there will be corrosion do to the treated lumber being on the aluminum? For example where the overhang is that is touching the treated frame.

Just did a 20 x 20 deck using this technique this past weekend- some fool not only set the boards too close they also caulked the joints.

I tried the tool with one blade on a 20 yr old deck with 2x6 ( not 5/4 thick) boards. Many of my boards have zero gap. I could not find documentation anywhere else saying it is OK to double the blade. I may go back after I have cut a single blade gap with a double blade. I was ok using a plunge cut to start the cut….get the blade up to speed before contacting the work. The main issue I had was having zero gap there is nowhere for the front guide to go. I cut it off and just kept the rear guide and blade. It easy to gouge the boards but

Cont’d …but with a bit of practice it is not too difficult to control. I may use router or just a sander to add back a bit of radius.

I discovered that our vinyl is fastened to 1x3 wood slats with roofing nails. Can’t be detached without damaging the vinyl.

Yes that is one of the problems with vinyl systems, and one of the benefits of Under Deck Oasis.

Incredible work. Thanks for the instruction. HOWEVER, I have a suggestion. If you watch those HGTV shows, you'll see that they spend a good chunk of the show going through and showing the finished product and reviewing everything that was done. Your great work could have used a bit of that. I felt like I was barely able to admire the finished product - which was really worth admiring. Those shows also review before and after images to really help underscore the great work that was done. Add a few more things like that in the future and then just keep it up! It's really great. Thanks for the information.

I'm wondering how it works if you plunge cut into a gap when you can't come at the cut from the outside. Any chance of kick back or saw getting stuck. Also, anyone recommend any "Fence" that could hook into the groove to help keep the cuts straight?

Seek the Lord and saviour Jesus Christ before it's too late. John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Hell is real and Heaven is also real. You don't want to spend an eternity in Hell torment without God. The only way to escape Hell is to follow Jesus Christ our Lord and saviour. Study God's Word the KJV Bible to know more and pray and seek until you find Jesus. Tomorrow might be too late. Next minute is not promised. Do it now.

Unacceptable to call yourself an electrician if thats the type of work you produce. Being a residential electrician myself, I wouldn't be able to sleep knowing I did that for a customer.
