I bought the What's up matador compilation in the 90s, now a bunch of fucking idiots try to burn me about it because the frogs made a song about babies sucking dicks.

As a young homosexual, when this cover was released, it struck me as so true to life. So many of my “straight” coworkers would seek me out. I had incredible, intense experiences, though all stayed with their girlfriends/wives. Lou Barlow captures that era of secret homosexual connection. Listen to his Sentridoh recordings.

Just marks alter ego. He, Jerry, and Bob M got masks (Jerry’s was a wise China man) to facilitate expressiveness/fun, and mark liked seeing what would come out of his own mouth like accessing the 90% of our brain that’s hidden

Very disturbing music, yet so good. Now, if we could just get a studio version with Booji singing the lyrics…

So, Booji Boy is a mutation, symbolic of our downward spiral into devolution. And "booji" is slang for bourgeoisie, the middle class. Is that about right?
@hivolt_inc2 жыл бұрын
The terms actually actually came about independently. Booji Boy's name is pronounced "boogie" but when Devo were subtitling one of their films they ran out of the letter "g" so they replaced it with a "j"

Picture this You’re me. You’re around 15, and you just woke up from the worst night terror you’ve had in a long time. It’s around 4:30 AM. Your mind is not in the right place, in fact it’s scattered in all the wrong places as you remember things you swear you’d try to forget. You open KZbin, and click on the first video for music. “Booji Boy’s Funeral.” You let it play and just stare. Stare at the ceiling. I think I felt an emotion that didn’t exist that day.
