Lasik is the easiest and most successful type of surgery in the world. I had glasses since childhood and wore them till my early 20s. Glasses always fogged up in walk-ins or cold days, always had to clean them, fall down nose, leave marks, hurt ears, make face look weird in pictures etc etc etc. Tried contacts but they were never comfortable and always itchy. One day I just decided to get Lasik and it has been fantastic. I can see road signs, details of the moon, individual leaves on a tree, faces from far away. The first week or 2 after you have to wear the protection glasses and have the temporary sensitive to light effect and dry eyes. Best thing I ever spent money on.

I have myopia, I have been wearing glasses since I remember, but lately I've noticed after taking off my glasses sometimes I get this dull pain behind my eyes, also noticed more red veins in the sclera, is this normal? No stinging or anything like that
@brandonholliman78547 ай бұрын
Could be a lot of things. Maybe some sort of muscle strain from not having ur glasses on (aka like a decompensating phoria, not as scary as it sounds), or like episcleritis, uveitis, dry eye, etc. kinda odd complaint of it happening just when you take your glasses off while also having red eye. Wouldn’t worry about it but def go to the eye doc if the pain gets worse

@@brandonholliman7854 I already scheduled an eye exam this Friday, I hope it's not too serious as I already have other problems like mild hypertension and sometimes heart palpitations
@brandonholliman78547 ай бұрын
U should be good don’t worry! A lot of easy non serious problems cause those symptoms. Probably just some muscle strain from taking ur glasses off or episcleritis, both being easy fixes. Is it recommended to have lasik when i have monocular diplopia on my left eye?
@brandonholliman78547 ай бұрын
Guessing you have some pretty intense astigmatism, but It really depends on what’s causing the diplopia. If it’s from astigmatism in your cornea and your cornea is thick enough for lasik and a normal shape, then absolutely. If it from a hole in ur iris or astigmatism from ur lens then maybe not.
@WattSCar75977 ай бұрын
@@brandonholliman7854 thanks for the rep, around december 2023 i got accidentally poked in the eye. I can still see but the double vision is making me nauseous. I got it checked but they are just giving me lubricating drops 4 times a day. Still seeing double *sigh*
@ScienceSquatch6 ай бұрын
That's unfortunate, sorry to hear that. Did it scratch the cornea? Only a optometrist or ophthalmologist would know best on whether you could get lasik to correct that. If it's astigmatism causing jt, depending on the severity, it might be possible!
