I don't think freezing the bait and the trace is sustainable during the warmer months. This needs some form of plug to push the bait, weight and tackle out of the barrel. Possible valves at bottom of the barrel, so you can reload the plug after each shot. Maybe have a small chain attached to the plug to make it reusable. 2 - 6 oz grab weights can be used with the wire grabs bent slightly in at the ends

I saw another bait cannon video where they used paper towel or toilet paper loaded into the barrel first to make a seal and the bait was not frozen. a rubber washer sandwiched between two pieces of plastic to make the seal in the tube launcher, you can attach the underside of the plastic seal to the inside of the launcher tube so you don't lose it when launching. You can put two screws into each joint side to help hold it all together.

hiya guys ,just thought might find this interesting we have design ed a bait launcher cannon that can put fresh bait and water into the launch tube door and it will freeze it then you can fire runs on 12 vgolt battery have mini air compressorand can have auto fire on manual fire options has an led strip that shows the cycle positionand audible beep when ready to fire ,this wont be a product ,but we can do a how to with all the designs and files if pewople are interested cheers gus

The only thing i would do differnet is sear that venison really well before putting in the crockpot. U will be surprised what a difference it makes . It stops the meat from drying out and really brings the flavor out.
