We were taught this in class 7 in our school ST GEORGES COLLEGE MUSSOORIE, now Uttarkhand ,india. The teacher who had finished his advanced teacher's trainind gave us a demonstration how it was to be renderef with acton Then came our turn singind lustly and yelling at the tpp of lungs,and enacting especially. Yhe bride kissed tje goblet, The knight took it up, He quaffed down the wine ,And threw down the cup. All this with acting.( one of our favourite poems)

I was first introduced to Sir Lochinvar sometime in the mid-sixties. I have loved this poem ever since. I'm 70 now, still enjoying the adventure through verse, and today I introduced Lochinvar to my grandsons.
