Hahaha we saw some spiders but we went looking for them so I don’t think that counts! No snakes, jaguars or tigers (unfortunately - we would have LOVED that 😂). But no, relatively safe I would say! X

amazing video thank you for sharing! I have a question. Did you take any antimalarial antibiotics or any preventative medications before going there? is it true that it is better to wear long sleeves shirts and pants to prevent mosquitoes' bites there?

Hello! We didn’t use anti malarial! Definitely recommend long trousers for sure when walking through the jungle! As for other meds / vaccines we can’t advise as we are vaccines for almost all travel meds

We went in June! We hadn’t trained specifically but we had been in South America for a while and had done some other hikes. The most important thing is to spend a few days in cusco beforehand to acclimatise to the altitude

My wife is from iquitos. We spent our honeymoon in the amazon. It was fascinating. We will be going back in September to celebrate our 20th anniversary. One thing nobody ever mentions on these videos of iquitos is the ice cream. Its so good they put all different nuts and fruits from the jungle. Its just incredible. Its so hot there who wouldn't want ice cream.

Wow how incredible and so amazing that you have ties there so have reason to visit time and time again. We adored Iquitos and would LOVE to go back - its pure adventure and nature at its truest form. Now I'm very jealous about the ice cream we didn't have any whilst we were there...now we have a reason to go back!! Thanks for watching - we hope you'll watch some of our other videos too x

Hey! We used trail runners and they did the job just fine! Hiking boots would also work nicely but not essential if you don’t have them! Enjoy the trail!

Thank you, my husband and I did the trail in 2017. We were busted old 58 year olds and couldn't take photographic/video memories.. so thank you so much and remember feeling the same as you at the camp site.. "the best site, I still can recall that glorious sight, I really "got" the Mountain and Sun Gods, they surround and envelop you in a spiritual way. 🙏 Amazing trail and of course we didn't do it as easily as you both!

It really is such a hidden gem isn't it! We really loved it so many amazing places to visit! Hahaha omg we sound so spoilt 😂 I would say that Huaraz had the most beautiful lakes in South America: Poron, Cherup and Laguna 69 being some of them! But yeah Quilatoa Lake is also IMMENSE! I'm happy you enjoyed my little piece of heaven. A little tip when speaking Castellano never pronounce the H when it's at the beginning of a word. Example Hacienda, correct pronunciation "A"cienda. The word is softer and sweeter without the H🤝

I lived there as a child from the age of 12 to 21 Lite kafue gorge Lusaka , Ndola, and livingstone. My parents were doctors there Great schools, waterfalls, good Zambian people kaapenta and shima for food , dance and great music Oh how I miss it ❤ Stand and sing of Zambia proud and free!

We’ve had the same struggles! Seen a lot of good stuff on iPhones. The DJI Osmo action 4 is likely our next move for underwater. Currently using an insta 360 X3, which is good for wide perspectives but not good for close ups

You got mugged off on your massage, nails etc... Lots of places do that much much cheaper and fantastic jobs done, as to food.. Your getting ripped off again, try local warungs and other restaurants rather then trying to show off, much better food and a fraction of the cost
