Wow@ What a great story! I was part of a few "inner city kids" who idolized your Dad. We paid a lot of attention to what we could hear about him, He inspired some folks! Me included. I never heard this. And his "Crew Chief" . We talked about that for a long time! Wow! A Black Fighter pilot, with a Black Crew Chief. Flying F-4 "Phantoms" in Vietnam. He had a lot of impact.

Great to see him playing again. It was Ed's arrangement of Water Is Wide that got me into fingerstyle. No activity,or updates on his website was a bit concerning. I wondered if he had been ill? This video is from a year ago and nothing since, that l can see anywhere. It looks like he's had his locks cut short though. Hope he is well and nothing untoward has befallen him. He's one of the most melodic arrangers and players out there

Beautiful. Another thing I would really enjoy is to see the process an artist like Ed goes through in arranging a piece like "The Water is Wide." How does he figure which chord progressions and voicing to use? Does he try certain things and then opt for others. I'd like to see him select a piece and then document how he starts from scratch a puts together a performance as wonderful as this.
